Silver Sands Pavilion

The pavilion is a deployable shelter designed for the shores of the Great Salt Lake. Its large size, programmable lighting, and space for concealed speakers accommodate dancing and parties. 

Eight ten gallon anchors are filled with sand from the beach, placed in the resulting holes, and covered to approximately 1" from the top. The weight within the anchors, plus the weight of surrounding sand, exert ample pressure for windy conditions.
